Former Minor Charged with Murder of a Mendota Man

The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has filed a Petition against a former minor, who is now eighteen, in the Juvenile Division of the Fresno County Superior Court. The case has been initiated in the Juvenile Division because the former minor was seventeen at the time of the alleged offense.

Pursuant to California law, a minor who is over the age of 16 at the time of the offense is eligible to be transferred to adult court upon order of the Court. The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office will request such an order.

The detention hearing for the former minor is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, in the Juvenile Division of the Fresno County Superior Court.
