Tywain Robinson Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder

Today, on December 18, 2024, Tywain Demetrius Robinson (26, of Fresno) was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for the murder of Isaac Jackson (24, of Fresno) and the attempted murder of Terrell Williams (30, of Fresno). Robinson’s sentence was handed down by the Honorable Gary Orozco of the Fresno County Superior Court.

Repeat Impaired Driver Sentenced to 15 Years to Life in DUI Murder

Today, on November 19, 2024, Joey Barron (35, of Fresno) was sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison for the crime of murder for his role as the driver in a fatal crash on January 2, 2021. The crash claimed the life of 30-year-old Andres Adrian Romero. The sentence was handed down by Judge Jonathan Conklin of the Fresno County Superior Court after he pled to the charge on August 6, 2024.

Office of Traffic Safety Awards $665,900 Grant to Fresno DA

The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office announced today that it has received a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to support a specialized prosecution team that handles alcohol and drug-impaired driving cases. The grant program runs through September 2025.
